Earlier in March 2008, the Department of Justice announced that it completed its review of the proposed merger between XM and SIRIUS satellite radio without any objections.
This leaves only the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the way. Once the FCC’s approval is obtained, XM and Sirius can complete their merger and start offering customers bundles services.
XM Radio representatives claim that the merger will lead to more programming choices and better subscriber pricing. They also gaurantee that their XM radios will not become obsolete. What does that mean for Sirius satellite radio units? What does that mean or you?
Do you currently subscribe to either service? Which company’s programing do you prefer?
